Stirring Up Fun: Vicksburg’s “Witches’ Brunch” Returns for Its 4th Bewitching Year

Vicksburg is about to get a little more magical. On Saturday, October 4, 2025, the Southern Cultural Heritage Center (SCHC) is hosting its 4th Annual Witches’ Brunch, promising a morning filled with food, fun, and just the right amount of hocus-pocus.

From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the Convent Parlor Rooms at the corner of Adams and Crawford Streets will be transformed into a whimsical gathering place for Vicksburg’s most glamorous witches. Guests are encouraged to show up in their best black hats, flowing capes, and—of course—their most bone-rattling witch’s cackle.

A Brunch with a Spellbinding Twist

Think of it as brunch with a broomstick. Attendees can sip on mimosas, sample hauntingly good bites, and raise a glass of something bubbly as live music from Julie & John sets the mood. The menu promises a mix of spooky and scrumptious, with both sweet and savory offerings to satisfy every witch’s appetite.

And because no witchy gathering is complete without a little friendly competition, SCHC is offering prizes for:

• Best Witch Cackle (time to practice your “hee-hee-hee”)
• Best Witch Hat (the taller, the better!)
• Best Witch Costume (glam, spooky, or downright bewitching)
