BRINGING JOY TO THOSE IN NEED
The Elks Lodge has a longstanding tradition of supporting the community, and this holiday season is no exception. Donations will go to children in the Warren County Children’s Shelter, Haven House, and a few local families in need.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Look for these friendly faces next Saturday, December 14. They will be in the parking lot of Big Lots and Tractor Supply from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. collecting gifts, giving hugs, and even doing a few reindeer dances.
“Come help us fill the trailer with toys for our children’s shelter. We are accepting unwrapped new toys and any monetary donation you would like to provide,” organizer Lesha Seale said. “Every single thing will go to children here locally.”
DONATION BOXES
Drop off new, unwrapped toys by December 20th at any of the following locations:
Elks Lodge | Madison Avenue Boutique |
Cafe Paradiso | Occasions Wine & Spirits |
Southern Sisters | Milanos Italian Grill |
The Hair Place | Doc’s Wholesale |
The World | Hillcrest Conco |
Eyeline Optical |
“It don’t matter if its $1 or $100, 1 toy or 10 toys. We even accept canned foods. Just know anything to make Christmas better for these kids and families is highly appreciated,” organizer Heather Whitehead posted on Facebook. “You can drop off or I will be glad to meet you.”
CASH DONATIONS
In addition to toys, the Vicksburg Elks Lodge also accepts cash donations, which Seale says make it possible to ensure that each age group of children gets enough to go around. Donate cash at the Elks Lodge or through Venmo and CashApp.
