Hairstylist, Kay Bee, hosts prom dress swap for Vicksburg teens

Kay Bee is hosting a prom dress swap.
Vicksburg, MS: Local hairstylist, Kay Bee, is a master at her craft with a big heart. Bee is known for creating gorgeously designed wigs, hairstyles, and so much more. Now she’s using her platform and success to host a prom dress swap this coming January. The goal is to make sure all teen girls in Vicksburg feel beautiful at prom without worrying over the cost of a gown.
Bee is passionate about supporting those in her community. This can be witnessed in her efforts to promote, uplift and inspire others. When she isn’t busy building her versatile business, Styles by Kay Bee, she’s out in the community rallying for events and looking for ways to help people around her. Ensuring that teens have equal opportunities regardless of their family’s income is something that’s close to Bee’s heart.
Dress Swap ‘25 : A Prom Dress Drive
“During this event , young ladies in the community, and surrounding areas will have the opportunity to come try on dresses and leave with one they like free of charge,” said Bee. “We will also have other small business owners available to help make the upcoming prom season as smooth as possible,” she added.
Bee has collaborated with other incredible local businessmen and women including fashion guru and cultural activist, Raymond Banks. Banks just celebrated 6 years of success with his clothing brand, Hoodvenchy.
Banks believes, “Fashion has the power to transform not just appearances, but lives. By giving away prom dresses, we’re not just offering fabric and stitches – we’re offering confidence, joy, and the chance for every young person to feel extraordinary on a night they’ll never forget.”
“In order to make this event a success we need prom dresses,” said Banks. He, Bee and others have been working hard to get the word out and encourage people to donate. Some dresses have already been donated, however, several more are needed. Bee and Banks want every young lady in need to have the opportunity to participate.
Bee and her friends will be accepting donations now through December 18. To help them in their efforts, you can submit a used or new dress for approval by texting 443-938-4935. Just send them a photo and they will let you know how to donate!
